American Forces Travel is the new Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR)

program offering eligible patrons access to leisure travel online powered by

Priceline and other travel industry leaders. This is the only official U.S. Joint

Services' MWR online vacation travel site offering exclusive travel deals and

benefits just for the military and government community. American Forces

Travel provides access to a wide selection of member-exclusive rates on

hotel rooms, flights, cruises, rental cars, vacation packages, event tickets and

more.

American Forces Travel is a new Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program arising out of a joint service initiative combining the efforts of each of the five branches of service (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard) and the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community & Family Policy.

Because the Internet is now the most popular way to research and book travel, the branches of Service chose to evolve their travel offering. The Services have contracted with a world leader in travel, Priceline®, to deliver high value travel benefits to the U.S. military community. American Forces Travel℠ is transforming the way MWR provides online leisure services to our Service members and families, empowering them to revitalize, reconnect, be well, and most importantly, be mission-ready. In addition to dramatically enhancing quality of life for the military community, American Forces Travel℠ will inject critical revenue into MWR programs by providing commissions from every booking made.

Awarding the no-cost contract to Priceline® is a major milestone for the Services and a testament to their collaborative and transformative efforts. While there are many for-profit online leisure travel offerings marketing to the military today, American Forces Travel is the only official joint services MWR leisure travel website.

TEAD MWR ATV Rental Policy

All users of MWR ATV's must have their Utah OHV education certificate; they must also go through the ATV orientation on TEAD MWR ATV's.  Go online at your own convenience to take the OHV education course.

• Go to https://www.offroad-ed.com/register/create/course/401046 or https://cbt.svia.org/; when you receive your certificate, email or bring us a copy to scan into our database to keep on file.
• All ATV drivers must meet this requirement. If you rent 4 ATV's, we will need the certificates of all 4 drivers on file.
• Plan ahead so you don't have to scramble at the last minute when you reserve our MWR ATV's  for your summer trip.

Skills learned in this course will increase rider confidence, reduce rider injuries, and cut back on expensive repairs to ATV's. This course focuses on safety and Utah state laws. Both are high priorities in MWR programs.

Sunset Inn is a home away from home option that is located on Tooele Army Depot, just 35 minutes from Downtown Salt Lake City. The Sunset Inn was just remodeled in 2018 with new beds, bed frames and flooring.

All suites (1 and 2 bedrooms) are fully furnished and include:

• Full size kitchens

• Queen sized bed

• Full bathrooms

• Comfortable living and dining areas

• Full housekeeping service is provided for short term stays

• Wireless internet

• DISH Network (flat-screen TV's in living room and master bedroom)

• Hotel amenities include:

• Self-service laundry common area

• Computer in the lobby

• A printer located in the lobby

Check-out time is 11 a.m. and Check-in time is 1 p.m. or after. If you think you may arrive early, please call the front office.

All guests MUST have a reservation. We are not able to accept walk-in reservations during times when the hotel is closed.

Make your reservation via the "email us" link above, or by phone. If no one answers the phone, leave us a message and we will return your call as soon as possible, or on the next business day.

Though you must have a reservation to stay at the Sunset Inn you do not have to check in during duty hours. When the office is closed you can check in anytime with the Security Guards at the front gate. They are provided a list of names and suite numbers as well as keys so that you can check in anytime. You will be required to have photo ID for all persons over the age of 15 and vehicle registration & insurance in order to gain access to the Depot.
